The denial is further disproven by bin Ladin’s orders in his fatvah of 2/23/1998, "kill all Americans and their allies." It is obvious that both the Muslims and we are getting double-talk, not what a religious leader should put forth. But bin Laden is primarily a revolutionary, motivated to create a Muslim world at all costs, and destroying the secular sheikdoms and republics trying to bring the mosque-dominated people into at least the 20th century. Lying does not matter. Improving the life styles of his people is repugnant for him, he sees it as corrupting. We have a religious Wahabi sectarian Luddite, a dictator with no moral precepts that can stand in the way of his objective, an ultimate idealist who relishes in the irony that he can use the tools of modern industry to destroy itself. He is probably struggling with his own twisted morality in deciding whether to use our atomic energy plants to blow up all humanity. That might go to far even for him. We are dealing with a genius engineering mind who twists desperate young people disappointed by the industrial civilization, whom he has persuaded that the modern society is corrupting, offers no hope, and destroying it will bring them immortality, America is the enemy, and driving out our influence will restore his men (women don’t matter) to purity.
